OWNER - Joe Cerami Jr.

Joe Cerami, the proprietor of J. Thomas Kitchens, collaborates closely with homeowners throughout the design process, ensuring that their preferences and budgetary constraints are prioritized. As the owner and operator of the business, Joe is personally involved with all of his clients and projects.

Joe grew up in the family business, commencing his career at a young age with his family’s custom woodworking enterprise. After graduating with a construction management degree, he continued to work within the family business and ultimately launched his own venture upon his father’s retirement.

J. Thomas Kitchens began as a full-service kitchen renovation company, providing comprehensive design-build and installation services. Over the years, Joe dedicated himself to the design aspect of the business, overseeing cabinetry sales, managing jobsites, aswell as all aspects of each project as the project manager and lead. However, after years of experience, Joe decided to transition the company towards a design and sales model, offering a diverse range of cabinetry lines and design services while eliminating construction services.

Despite its transformation into a design and sales company, J. Thomas Kitchens remains distinct from its typical counterparts. As a small business owner, Joe continues to be hands-on with projects after the sale to the client, collaborating with their contractors or those recommended by J. Thomas throughout the entire process. He is available for site visits to address any questions from the owner or installer and even offers consultations on other aspects of the construction process, drawing from his extensive background in the field. This experience has provided Joe with a deeper understanding of the design process, as he is familiar with the installation requirements and the challenges faced by installers during the process.
